The Mechants of Cool

After watching the video's of how the advertising companies study the teen population, I feel that they are starting to become so obsessed with finding the cool and new things for kids that they are not understanding the effects on the teens. More and more teenagers want to rebel and start to distance themselves from the media so they are turning to more drastic measures. Teenagers are starting to turn toward heavy metal and hard rap because it is more difficult for the media to advertise. They know that curses and violent graphics can't be shown on telivision so they are makeing that the new and cool.
The media has some good ideas to get into the teens mind, by having a group sesion, by taking polls useing the MTV Station. MTV has become popular and cool to the kids because they get to make the deisition of which band gets to be on the top list of artists. These are good ways of getting into there minds and being able to study the rebelion age. When people start going into homes and start to study kids usieng the technology that we can connect to their T.V.'s or listening to the telephone calls to understand what they talk about, it starts to cross the line of to much. Soon the media will make up excusses for invading the personal lives of these children by hacking into the computers and find which website each child goes to more.
The media is already forcing some teens to do some drastic things that would have been horribel a couple of years ago. By the time we grow up and have kids, what kind of things are they going to be doing to get away from the media? It will beocme to much too quickly.
