Do Campaign producers give us what we want?

Do Campaign ads try to give us what we want or do they try to persuade people. The 2008 campaign broke all records of the amount of advertising that was produced. The advertising companies try to persuade people to vote for a certain person by having the audience connect and have a certain attitude for the candidates. They even try to bring the candidates to the level of the average person in the country.
If this amount of media doesn't change then the people will become overwhelmed more then they are now. People are being effected in their every day lives by the media. The media is starting to try to control the audience to get them to feel and associate things in life with their products. The more people develop immunities towards the media, the more the media will invade our lives. The certain techniques that the media is developing to make a connection with the audience, is to have the product associated with their feelings. They even try to make their product sound and look better then others. They are trying to get the idea of our natural senses associated with the product. The different advertising is in our everyday life so much that we don't even notice anymore the T.V.'s in taxi's, the movie billboards on the side of buildings, the different programs that advertise the products.
In the American culture people are so use to the advertisements that it no longer really effects the people. Americans grow up with the different technologies and equipment that we are no longer thinking about how it effects our lives. It is easier for the media to catch the average American becuase we depend of technology and we are so absorbed with the advertisements and actives that it is apart of us. American's are learning to block out certain ad's by using the different programs to cut through the ads, to block out the different things we hear on the radio, to not really pay attention to the ads in programs. as people block out ads, then the media must resort to more invasive actions to get the audience to respond to ads. American's have a need to be apart of the group, the cool and normal, so that's how advertising gets into the American mind.
Adverting is becoming more complicated because of the amount that is needed to get the audiences attention. They have to compel the audience to get their product, they have to make a connection with the audience in some emotional or physical way, they have to then try to get the message through all the other ads and have you listen. The advertising and marketing areas have to study the target audience and be able to understand how to get the people to want that product. They try to form emotional bonds with the product through showing everyday life experiences in the commercials.
The audiance today has such a hard time blocking out the differnt advetisments that they have to develope and self-awarness of what is being feed to them. when the audiance understands the media and starts to understand the distance that the media is willing to go to get that product into your mind and to advertise it to them they can say that they are aware. Once this happened people will be able to sepertate the differnt areas of advertising and they will be able to block out all ads that are aimed at them. The audinace can also start to seperate themsleves from the technologies that are used to advertise to people, live cutting back of telkivision and teh computer internet.
